Highlight experience

Advised Nigeria’s largest indigenous upstream oil and gas company (by asset size) on the development of its long-term gas sale agreements as part of its gas-to-power strategies. Advise included the development of a GSA, an interruptible GSA and Flare Gas Sale templates.

Advised a Nigerian indigenous upstream oil and gas company on its successful acquisition of its entire ownership interest and a unitised stake in the Agbami Oil field, Nigeria’s largest deep-water field, from a Norwegian upstream oil and gas company.

Assisted in successfully negotiating and drafting the pre-Unitisation agreement that currently governs the Awoba field that straddles OMLs 24 and 18.

Advised a Nigerian indigenous upstream oil and gas company on its successful acquisition of the entire ownership interest in 15 OMLs previously owned by Total Energies.

Advised the operator of an Oil Mining Lease in the swamp areas of the Niger Delta on the contracting related to the execution of its work programs for 7 years. Our work included the development of transaction documentation and negotiation with third party contractors and vendors for well re-entry, drilling, slickline jobs, fishing and other related work.

Advised on the development of legal contracts to give effect to the host community requirements of the PIA.

Advised on the project development & financing of a gas-fired electric power generation facility for a Nigerian-based power-generating company. Advice included review and negotiation of the Ancillary Services Agreement, the Grid Connection Agreement and a Power Purchase Agreement with NBET.

Advised a producing marginal field operator on the renewal of its Marginal Field operating license and contract in respect of a field in Delta State.
