Damilola is an Of Counsel at the firm and a senior member in our Dispute Resolution and Shipping Practice Groups.
He specialises in transportation and commercial litigation, with extensive experience litigating complex issues across maritime, banking, corporate, insolvency, and general commercial law at both trial and appellate levels.
Over the course of his career, Damilola has gained invaluable experience managing high- value multi-million-dollar international maritime disputes and transactions. He has also worked providing strategic oversight on cross-border joint ventures and the implementation of the Nigerian Oil & Gas Industry Content Development Act and the Cabotage Act.
Damilola’s practice encompasses ship and aircraft finance, registration of mortgages, corporate restructuring, and regulatory compliance. He is a recognised expert in shipping law, specifically regarding charterparty disputes, the carriage of goods by sea, and vessel sale and purchase.
Additionally, he provides counsel on insurance claims for maritime agents and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK).
